Privacy Policy

Cassius Forever ("we", "us") runs cassiusforever.com, an independent artist archive, music player, community features, and live room. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information. We collect your required phone number and username for account access. If you use Google, we also receive profile information Google provides, such as your name, email address, and profile photo. Email may be optional depending on how you sign in.
• Updates opt-in. The optional updates checkbox is unchecked by default. If you select it, we store your verified phone number, available name and email, and the time of consent in a private mailing-list file so we can send you updates about new music, shows, merch, and other news from cassiusforever.com. You can withdraw consent by contacting us.
• Text messages. If you text our number to join, we store your phone number, messages, opt-in status, and the show or event associated with your sign-up so we can send the link you requested and, if you opt in, recurring updates about new music, shows, merch, and other news. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in or consent data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers that help us deliver and support our messages.
• Live room and recordings. Live-room audio and broadcast content are transmitted to participants. If you accept an invitation to speak onstage by pressing Proceed on the recording notice, your microphone and camera (if enabled) may be included in the live broadcast and a private MP4 recording. The host can access that recording through the Control Room for up to seven days. Our live provider may retain an operational copy for up to 15 days.
• Chat messages. Messages, GIFs, and stickers you post in chat are shown publicly with your display name and profile photo, and are kept for about 24 hours. Room chats are tied to a single broadcast. When you search for GIFs or stickers, your search terms and a random device identifier are sent to KLIPY.
• Listening activity. We count plays and downloads per track. These counts are not tied to your account.
• Preferences. Your browser stores small settings, such as list or grid view, your cookie choices, and whether you turned on Reduce motion, on your device.
• Technical data. Our hosting providers automatically process standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and secure the site.
• Show map. The tickets page loads map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap, which receives standard request information including your IP address, browser type, and site referrer. The map displays show locations, not your location, and does not request access to your device location.
• Ticket purchases. Show listings come from our Ticket Tailor box office. Selecting Get tickets takes you to Ticket Tailor, which handles your order and payment under its own privacy policy and shares order details, such as your name, email, and tickets, with us as the event organizer. Buying a ticket does not sign you up for texts.
• Shop purchases. Checkout is handled by Stripe, which processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number. Stripe shares your order with us, including your name, email, items, and shipping address for physical orders, and we keep that record to fulfill your order, deliver digital downloads, and handle support. Buying from the shop does not sign you up for texts.

How we use information

We use information to run the site, authenticate accounts, provide live features, honor your updates choice, keep the service secure, and understand which music people enjoy. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies and your choices

We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into three categories:

• Essential. Needed for sign-in, security, checkout, and remembering your privacy choices. These are always on.
• Analytics. Help us understand how people use the site, such as which pages and links are popular. Off unless you turn them on.
• Marketing. Let advertising partners, such as Google Ads, recognize your visit so we can show you ads for Cassius Cruz music, shows, and merch on other sites and measure how those ads perform. Off unless you turn them on. Under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising.

Select Privacy settings at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choices at any time, including turning on Do not sell or share my personal information. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of marketing. Your cookie choices are separate from texts and the mailing list: accepting cookies never signs you up for messages.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf:

• Clerk: sign-in and account management
• Google: optional sign in with Google
• 100ms: real-time audio for the live room
• Ably: real-time delivery of chat messages
• KLIPY: GIF and sticker search
• Telnyx: delivery and processing of SMS messages
• Stripe: shop checkout and payment processing
• Google Analytics and Google Ads: optional analytics and advertising, only if you allow them
• Vercel: website hosting
• Cloudflare: media and file storage

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. From the account menu, choose Mailing list to unsubscribe from updates, or Delete account to remove your account, your updates-list entry and your saved posts. We keep only the phone numbers of people who unsubscribe or delete their account, so we don't contact them again. Chat messages you already sent may remain. To access your information or ask about it, email cassiusforever.contact@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

To stop SMS messages, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP or email us.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above when we do.
